Dental Hygienist

Kyrene is our Registered Dental Hygienist and also holds a certification in Dental Assisting. She has been in dentistry since 1989, and has been fortunate enough to have grown with the ever changing technological advances in her field.
Ky has a way of explaining dental terminology in easy to understand language. Ky is very down to earth and will do everything she can to help any patient. Ky has a very light touch, and she believes discomfort is not necessary while in the dental chair with all the new technology that is now available.

Ky specializes in gum treatment, and enjoys personalizing custom gum treatment programs based on the patients specific needs. Ky does especially well with the phobic and nervous patients.

Originally Ky was born in Southern California. Ky was a military dependent and has lived in several areas. She attended High School in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, later moving back to the states to further her education.

Ky attended St. Petersburg Vocational Technical Institute to receive her certification in Dental Assisting. Ky then worked with several types of dentistry. She understands basic restorative needs, as well as high end cosmetic dentistry. During her five years of Assisting, Ky was able to obtain her Hygienist license at St. Petersburg College’s Health Education Center. Ky still continues to read and attend continuing education courses on periodontal therapy, as well as advancements in general dentistry.

Ky lives in Treasure Island, Fl with her husband Mike of 16 years. She enjoys boating with friends and enjoys the wildlife around her home. Ky also enjoys listening too and learning about other peoples experiences.
